BizzyCar's Recall Outreach and Service Engine Now Qualify for Kia Co-Op Advertising Support
Kia dealers running BizzyCar's recall and service retention tools can now apply co-op advertising dollars toward the cost.
BizzyCar announced today that its Recall Outreach and Service Engine products qualify as marketing expenses under Kia's co-op advertising fund program. Kia dealers currently running either product, or considering adding one, may be eligible to have Kia reimburse a portion or all of the associated cost.
Recall closure and service retention are notoriously underfunded line items at most stores. Outreach happens through mailers, phone trees, or whatever the service department can fit between appointments, and the tools built to do it well tend to look like one more subscription on top of an already tight fixed ops budget. Co-op eligibility removes some of that friction by tying the cost of doing this properly to a funding source most dealers are already using for something else.
Co-op advertising funds exist so OEMs and dealers share the cost of marketing that drives customers back into the service drive. Most dealers already use co-op dollars for local media buys, direct mail, and digital ad spend. Recall Outreach and Service Engine fall into that same category. Both are customer communication tools built to bring vehicles in for service, which is exactly what co-op programs are designed to fund.
Recall Outreach finds vehicles with open recalls and automatically schedules the corresponding service. Service Engine identifies maintenance intervals and declined service opportunities, then books the appointment. Both run on BizzyCar's two-way SMS platform, so customers get a direct message and can respond and schedule without a phone call or a mailer sitting on the counter. Neither requires a dealer to change how their service drive already operates, and neither adds a step for the customer beyond replying to a text.
For dealers already running one or both products, this changes what the subscription actually costs today. A tool currently billed as a straight operating expense may now be partially or fully offset through Kia's co-op fund, depending on how a dealer's claim is structured. That's money that's been sitting on the table since the day the account went live, whether the dealer realized it or not.
For dealers evaluating Recall Outreach or Service Engine for the first time, co-op eligibility changes the math on adoption. The objection that usually holds a store back, that a new tool is one more line item on an already tight fixed ops budget, carries a lot less weight once a meaningful share of that cost can come from a fund the dealer is already entitled to.
The change applies the same way regardless of where a dealer sits in that relationship with BizzyCar today. Current customers should treat this as a reason to revisit their co-op paperwork. Dealers still deciding whether to bring on Recall Outreach or Service Engine should treat it as a reason to run the numbers again.
Reimbursement amounts, caps, and the claims process vary by dealer and region, so the exact terms of any individual co-op claim should be confirmed directly with BizzyCar or a dealer's Kia co-op administrator. BizzyCar isn't the one issuing reimbursement — Kia's co-op program is, and dealers should follow their normal co-op submission process to file a claim. If a dealer isn't sure whether their current setup qualifies or how to start, that's exactly what a BizzyCar contact is there to walk through.
